There are two stpes, first to set auto-login without user name\/password then disable Ctrl+Alt+Del which is enabled for Windows server by default. It works great for vm in Azure.<\/p>\n

To set auto-login account<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Start > Run > netplwiz (as explained in other answers)<\/li>\n
  2. Un-tick “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.”<\/li>\n
  3. Provide login credentials to be used for auto-logon<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Disabling CTRL+ALT+DEL logon requirement<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. Start<\/li>\n
    2. Type ‘Local Security Policy’ (no quotes) and click on item matching this name<\/li>\n
    3. Open ‘Local Policies’<\/li>\n
    4. Open ‘Security Options’ Locate Policy called ‘Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL’
      \nDouble click on it Set to ‘Enabled’<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
